RESTORATION AND REHABILITATION OF THE HOUSE OF MILLER IN TURIN - ITALY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The miller’s house is located within the industrial complex of the Feyles Mills, present on the town map of 1781 and converted to residential use in the 1890s. The miller’s house dates back to 1830. The restoration project involved the wood floors in walnut, cherry and oak, the lime plasters and the colours with natural mineral pigments of the second floor, the architectural elements of the building envelope in iron, cast iron and stone, the plasters and the colours of atrium and exterior façades. The building rehabilitation works focused instead on the renovation of the roofing tiles, insulated and ventilated, and of the large terrace overlooking taylor street.
