CORE BUSINESS
STEGET has consolidated experience in ARCHITECTURE and CULTURAL HERITAGE design and supervision providing a range of services including all phases of the design process, construction supervision and contract management. Since 2000 STEGET has been working for more than 50 Italian municipalities in design and supervision of touristic infrastructure, urban and nature regeneration, historic villages rehabilitation and old buildings restoration to be converted into multipurpose facilities for sustainable touristic purpose.
STEGET has written and managed several Regional Development Projects to improve tourism in industrially declining areas with European Community funds and government funding. Simultaneously, STEGET has performed many City Color Plans, Italian plans to project, regulate and preserve colors, materials and architectural elements of the historic city façades. The technical service carried out on historical heritage and the management of Regional Development Projects has led STEGET to adopt in its projects a specific approach, based on internationally accepted criteria, aimed at identifying and enhancing all local resources capable of developing a territory.
ACTIVITIES IN GEORGIA
In 2011, STEGET established a branch in Georgia focused on design and construction supervision of tourist infrastructures and interventions aimed at enhancing the cultural heritage. In 2012, STEGET won the contract through a tendering process issued by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia to perform supervision of public works in Kakheti Region in Cultural Heritage and in infrastructure fields. In 2014, STEGET, thanks to a seasoned knowledge of construction works, obtained an extension of the previous contract to perform also technical assistance in design phase and design review of all designs of sites under preservation of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage. In the last years, STEGET has been boosting its ability to meet clients’ expectations, acquiring a great familiarity with the most important international donors and organizations. Today STEGET has an office in Tbilisi with Georgian and Italian engineers, architects, translators and an accountant.
EXPERIENCE IN NIGERIA
Since 2015, STEGET has been working on some projects of high range buildings in Nigeria, such as four star-hotels, offices for banks, and big companies’ headquarters. In particular, STEGET has been developing the new design of a 15-storey-office-building and the restyling of the existing building named World Trade Center tower in Lagos. Two projects designed to become new iconic buildings of contemporary architecture and environmental sustainability.
EXPERIENCE IN MAURITIUS
In 2012, STEGET won an international tender for the new Mauritius Oceanography Institute. This has given start to a new series of projects in isle that STEGET has been developing in partnership with local companies. Main assignments are the refurbishment and conversion into an eco-building of one of the most important government palace, and the setting up of the Intercontinental Slavery Museum in Port Louis.
EXPERIENCE IN TURKEY
Between 2016 and 2017, STEGET performed technical service in a UNDP assignment in Turkey related to the Provision of Services for Developing Minimum Building Energy Performance Standards (MBEPS) and Nearly Zero Energy Building (nZEB) Approach for Turkey. The project involved the whole country, and was requested for updating the national law in terms of energy saving.
EXPERIENCE IN INDIA
Since 2018, STEGET has been cooperating with the Institute of Christian Fathers’ to carry out a project to support the development of a local community. The project was developed with the aim at renewing traditional forms of constructions and reviving awareness of them among inhabitants. Native craftsmen, teachers and pupils have been supporting the implementations of the school building to strengthen local skills.
