RESTORATION OF THE DECORATIONS OF THE FACADE IN TORINO – ITALY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The palace is located in Turin and was constructed in the second half of the 19th century. The façades had never been restored and were in a precarious condition of maintenance.

The intervention focused on the restoration of the decorative elements in relief that characterise the main façade, mainly represented by grotesques, floral motifs, shields and string-course bands. The incrustations were cleaned . The damaged elements were removed. Restoration of valuable elements and plasterwork with lime-based mortars and colouring with natural mineral pigments.
